Fellas, call your significant other (or just get on Tinder) – you should be having sex at least twice a week, according to a new study published in the Journal Of Sexual Medicine. For health reasons, obviously.
Over 2,267 people were grilled on their sexual activity, and it turns out those who get it at least twice a week had significantly lower levels of homocysteine – an amino acid linked to heart disease. While the connection is still under scrutiny, the stuff could well inflict damage on blood vessels, promoting the development of artery fat and blood clots – two things that are big heart attack risk factors.
Of course, all-round health demands all-round maintenance – a balanced diet, exercise and the like. But getting up close and personal may well make the heart grow stronger.
